At our school, we believe in nurturing each child’s unique growth and development at their own pace. From building foundational skills to preparing for the next big step in their educational journey, our classes are designed to support children through key milestones. Whether they are learning to express themselves, gaining confidence, or exploring new concepts, our programs are tailored to help them thrive. Below is a glimpse into each of our classes, where your child will grow, learn, and make lasting memories.
Our One-Year-Old Class is designed to help little ones adjust to being away from home. For many of our one-year-olds, this is their first experience being apart from their parents, which can be a big challenge. However, with a small class size (2 teachers to 6 students), each child receives plenty of individual attention, helping them feel comfortable in their new environment. The majority of their day is filled with active play, including 30 minutes outside daily, weather permitting. On days when the weather doesn’t cooperate, they burn off energy in the Big Room. During art time, they enjoy one-on-one guidance as they develop fine motor skills. Our Ones also learn about the joys of snack time, sitting with friends at the table as they practice feeding themselves and opening their snacks. As they explore, play, and learn, our One-Year-Olds begin to build important social and emotional skills that set the foundation for their growth. By the end of the year, they will feel more confident in their independence and more comfortable in a group setting, all while having fun and making new friends along the way.
In our Two’s class, children are full of energy and curiosity. One of their biggest challenges is learning how to interact with friends and what it means to be one. With a teacher-to-student ratio of 2 teachers to 8 students, each child receives plenty of individual attention as they navigate this exciting stage. Their day is filled with exploration, from playing with different toys and manipulating messy bins to engaging in various hands-on activities. They also have fun during art time, where they develop fine motor skills such as writing, gluing, and using scissors. They begin to understand the importance of sharing and expressing themselves through both language and actions. The Two’s enjoy 30 minutes of outdoor play each day, weather permitting, and when outdoor time isn’t an option, they have a blast in the Big Room. Snack time offers a chance to sit with friends at the table, and the day ends with circle time, where they read books, sing, dance, and reflect on their day.
Our Three’s class focuses on building independence and self-confidence. With a teacher-to-student ratio of 2 teachers to 10 students, each child receives individualized attention as they begin taking on responsibilities, such as putting their book bags, coats, and snacks in their cubbies, helping them feel more capable and self-reliant. They also work on early writing and math skills, alongside fine motor and problem-solving activities. Center time is full of exploration, with messy bins, manipulative stations, home living, pretend play, and block stations, providing opportunities for creativity and critical thinking. The Three’s enjoy 30 minutes of outdoor play each day, weather permitting. When it’s too rainy or cold to go outside, they move to the Big Room to work on their gross motor skills. This year, they also participate in weekly Music class, where they explore different types of music, instruments, and dance. In addition, they take part in weekly Chapel, where they learn about Christian values and Bible stories. As the year progresses, they continue to grow in their abilities, confidence, and love of learning, preparing for even more exciting challenges ahead.
The Four’s class motto is “I’m Four, so I can do more!” and it couldn’t be more accurate. With a teacher-to-student ratio of 2 teachers to 10 students, each child receives plenty of individual attention as they grow in independence and are encouraged to express themselves through art, journaling, and conversation. The goal of the Four’s class is to build their confidence and prepare them for Kindergarten. They work on foundational skills in reading, math, and critical thinking, while also diving deeper into science through both group and individual activities. Music class is a highlight each week, where they explore different genres of music and dance. Chapel time, also held weekly, teaches them about Christian values and Bible stories. The Four’s enjoy 30 minutes of outdoor play each day, and when the weather doesn’t cooperate, they head to the Big Room to work on their gross motor skills. Their day is a bit longer, so in addition to snack time, they also have lunch, helping them prepare for the routine of “big kid” school. By the end of the year, they’ll be confident, ready, and excited to take on the next chapter in their learning journey!
Sometimes, children need a little more time to grow, and that’s perfectly okay. That’s why we offer Transitional Kindergarten—a class designed for children who have completed the Four’s class but may be too young to start Kindergarten, or for those who may benefit from extra time before making the transition. With a teacher-to-student ratio of 2 teachers to 10 students, each child receives the support they need to strengthen a variety of skills, including reading, writing, math, and social-emotional development. They also enjoy weekly Music classes, where they explore instruments, dance moves, and self-expression. Chapel time is another highlight, where they learn Christian values, Bible stories, and how these teachings apply to their everyday lives. Snack and lunch times are part of their daily routine, helping them build independence. They get 30 minutes of outdoor play each day, where they learn playground games and work on their gross motor skills. On days when the weather doesn’t cooperate, they have fun in the Big Room. Transitional Kindergarten is a wonderful opportunity for children to gain confidence and grow at their own pace, preparing them for the exciting journey ahead in elementary school.
