Ms. Marilyn has worked at Genesis since 2005, starting as a Fours teacher, and moving to the position of Director in 2009. She implements curriculum, reviews classroom lesson plans, organizes special events, and oversees all of the daily activities. She hires and supervises all staff and prepares all financial reports.
Ms. Kelly maintains the database, keeps records up to date, and creates class lists and reports as needed. She is responsible for processing tuition payments. She works in the office two days a week and is also a teacher in our Monday/Wednesday/Friday threes class.
We have numerous staff who are CPR and First Aid certified. Re-certification is required bi-annually.
Each staff member is required to complete three continuing education credits per school year.
Each person has a background check completed prior to hiring and every three years thereafter. All substitute teachers are background checked as well. References are contacted for everyone before being hired.
Each classroom has two co-teachers. We value the experiences and education of each one of our staff utilizing their skills to help better serve children here at Genesis. We work in teams to coordinate lesson plans and ideas. All staff are required to submit monthly lesson plans that incorporate the monthly theme and a monthly calendar.
